This app is very comprehensive, user friendly and well designed. All games (until the finals), teams, stadiums and intermediate groups are present. The history of previous World Cups (dating back to 1930) is interesting, too.
I assume that at the beginning of the World Cup the competition results are updated daily and will be processed in the intermediate group. I own an iPod touch, no permanent access to the Internet, but you have the option to manually enter results which are subsequently processed in the intermediate group. Very handy if you're just a few days with no wireless internet at your disposal (weekend, parents, football etc). The latter indeed gives the option to make predictions and then compare with the real results.
Still nice to mention that every game also shows how previous games between the two teams played. Shame that it only shows competitions of previous World Cups and European Championships, no friendlies or ...
With ZA2010 you can keep up with the results and schedule of football matches of the 2010 World Cup South Africa, and, even better, you can also simulate the games before they happen, see the positions of the group and any subsequent matches by your own prediction.
Features:
Complete schedule of all matches.
Composition of the groups.
Game simulation.
The results of matches are upgradeable.
Scorers and games played between teams in previous World Cups.
Status information for each match and their position on the map.
The historical data, allowing you to see who were the previous champions, runners-ups and third place teams in previous World Cups.
Shift to knockout rounds.
In short:
Statistics with top scorers, team rankings, etc.
Basically everything on the World South Africa 2010!
Really great app. It's not only very clear, but looks good and works very well.
I find the simulation part very convenient. You can enter possible outcomes and it generates a very clear schedule.
THIS IS THE ONLY APP WITH THIS AMAZING FUNCTION!
